２日コース

最初に、動画や実際の刷り本を用いて便利堂コロタイプ工房を紹介し、現場を見学します。次にワークショップスタジオに併設の暗室に移動し、コロタイプティシュー（版）を用いて画像の露光と現像のプロセスを説明します。
2日コースでは、はがきと8x10inch（203x254mm）の2種類のサイズのティシューを準備します。インクやローラー、紙の違いを体感しながら作業を進めます。コース終了時には、完成度の高い作品を仕上げてお持ち帰りいただきます。

※備考
・環境や人体に負荷のないDAS感光剤を用いた版を使います。安心してご参加ください。
・製版準備の都合上、作品にしたい写真画像を開催の1週間前までに提出していただきます。
・油性のインキを使用しますので、当日はよごれてもよい服装でご参加ください。
・エプロン、手を拭くタオル、昼食をお持ちください。

2-DAY COURSE

First, we introduce the Benrido Collotype Atelier using videos and actual prints, followed by a tour of the facility. Next, we move to the darkroom attached to the workshop studio and demonstrate the exposure and development process using collotype tissue (collotype specific photosensitive sheet).
For the 2-day course, we prepare tissue in two sizes: postcard and 8×10 inches (203x254mm). You’ll proceed with the work while experiencing the differences in ink, rollers, and paper. By the end of the course, you will complete a high-quality piece to take home.

*Note:

– Benrido Collotype Academy will be using a new process of plate making developed from the traditional glass plate. Participants will learn to use this new process which uses a monochrome negative (collotype tissue) as the plate for printing. This collotype tissue provides the base where the negative can be coated with the gelatin solution, infused with the DAS – Photosensitizer that is nontoxic to the human body and the environment.
– You will need to submit your image data to us at least three week before the course starts, in order for us to do the preparations.
– Please come wearing clothes you can get dirty in.
– Please bring your own apron, towel for hand-wiping and packed lunch.
