Hariban Award 2017 Applications Open
Presented by the Benrido Collotype Atelier, the HARIBAN AWARD, now in its fourth year, combines a 150-year-old analogue technique with the new vision of digital-age photography. Professionals and amateurs alike are invited to submit monochromatic photographs for a chance to win this remarkable award. The winner will receive an expenses-paid trip to the ancient city of Kyoto to participate in the production of a collotype portfolio, which will be exhibited as an associated program of Kyotographie 2018.
This year the competition will be juried by an international group of Jurors, Michael Famighetti (U.S.A.) Editor of Aperture Magazine, Tristan Lund (U.K) Art Consultant, dealer and curator for photography, Thyago Nogueira (Brazil) Editor of Zum Magazine and celebrated artists and founders of the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre RongRong & Inri (China/Japan). Previous Winners of the award have included Claudio Silvano (2016), Antony Cairns (2015) and Awoiska van der Molen (2014), each have gone on to exhibited at leading photography fairs, festivals and galleries.
